Brief Description

Royal Selangor is seeking a proactive and motivated Research & Development (R&D) Engineering Intern to join our team in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. In this hands-on role, you will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to real-world technical projects, assisting with prototype/product testing, and supporting data-driven research. This internship offers valuable industry exposure to product design, prototyping, and material analysis within a renowned heritage design and manufacturing brand.

Job Responsibilities:

• Project Support: Assist R&D engineers in the execution of technical projects and daily experimental workflows on a day-to-day basis.
• Testing & Analysis: Perform hands-on mechanical/electrical testing, prototype evaluations, and detailed analysis to support product development.
• Documentation: Collect, compile, and report testing data and technical documentation systematically for team review.
• Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and brainstorm innovative engineering solutions.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Knowledge or course exposure in Material Science and Technical Drawing is an added advantage.
• Strong organizational, systematic thinking, and analytical skills.
• Eager to learn new technologies, hardworking, adaptable, and self-motivated.
• Able to commit to the internship duration at the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre, Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.

Job Type: Internship

Pay: RM700.00 - RM800.00 per month
