Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Manager role based in Banting. The Mechanical Manager is responsible for overseeing mechanical maintenance and reliability of plant equipment, including planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. The role includes leading and mentoring the mechanical team, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and promoting adherence to safety standards and operational procedures. The Mechanical Manager will coordinate and manage mechanical projects, upgrades, and shutdowns, working closely with production, electrical, and MEP-related functions to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. Day-to-day responsibilities also include troubleshooting mechanical issues, analyzing root causes, implementing improvements, managing spare parts and maintenance documentation, and supporting compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering skills, including knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and maintenance methodologies.
• Candidates should possess Team Management skills, including the ability to lead, coach, and develop maintenance personnel and coordinate cross-functional collaboration.
• Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution of mechanical projects and plant shutdowns.
• Candidates should possess Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) and Plumbing-related skills, including familiarity with integrated building services and coordination with electrical and civil teams.
• Relevant qualifications include a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably in paper, packaging, or process industries.
• Additional beneficial skills include strong problem-solving abilities, knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices, understanding of safety and regulatory standards, and proficiency in maintenance management software.
• Effective communication skills, the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced plant environment, and a commitment to continuous improvement and safe work practices are highly valued.
