DIC (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd – Internship Opportunity for Production / Data Analysis Field Students

DIC Malaysia, established in 1975, is a leading innovator and market leader in the printing inks industry. Our Shah Alam facility is equipped with advanced technologies for both liquid and paste ink production, supporting a wide range of industrial applications.

We are offering internship placements for students pursuing Engineering, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or related fields to support our Production Department with a strong focus on data analysis.

What You Will Experience

From your first day, you will be exposed to real production operations and data-driven workflows within a manufacturing environment. Under the guidance of experienced production professionals, you will support data collection, analysis, and reporting activities that directly impact operational performance.

The internship scope will be structured based on your academic requirements to ensure a meaningful and relevant learning experience.

This internship gives you:

· Practical exposure to production data analysis in a real manufacturing environment

· Opportunities to apply analytical and statistical concepts to actual operational data

· Guided mentorship from experienced production and technical professionals

· Hands-on experience analyzing production KPIs, such as:

• Output and efficiency rates
• Downtime and machine utilization
• Rejection, scrap, and yield data
• Process performance trends

· Experience preparing reports, dashboards, and basic data visualizations

· A structured internship aligned with your academic and career objectives

Who We Are Looking For

· Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:

• Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, etc.)
• Data Analytics, Statistics, Operations Management, or related fields

· Strong interest in production operations, data analysis, and continuous improvement

· Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with numerical data

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic charts)

· Able to communicate findings clearly and work collaboratively with teams

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Shah Alam: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
