ABOUT SGTECH

SGTech is the leading trade association for Singapore's tech industry. We represent over 1,400 member companies, from top multinational corporations and large local enterprises to SMEs and startups. Our mission is to build a thriving tech ecosystem that powers Singapore as a global tech hub. We bring companies together to shape policy, grow talent, drive sustainability and open up business opportunities in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

THE ROLE

We are setting up a new function to work with MNCs as long-term partners and sponsors. You will be the first hire. You will find out what MNCs want to achieve in Singapore and Southeast Asia (growing their market, building their profile, reaching customers, partners or government) and turn that into SGTech programmes they are glad to sponsor. You will work closely with the Chairman, Council and Secretariat.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Engage MNCs: Build relationships with MNC leaders (country heads, marketing, partnerships, public affairs) across members and non-members.
Understand their needs: Learn each MNC's goals for the region, and spot where SGTech's network, chapters and events can help.
Design programmes: Shape sponsorship offers, such as industry roundtables, startup and SME programmes, talent initiatives and regional market-access missions, each with clear goals.
Set and track KPIs: Agree measurable outcomes with sponsors (e.g. leads, reach, participants, partnerships formed) and report results back to them.
Close and renew: Write proposals, negotiate terms, close deals and grow repeat sponsorship.
Build the function: Set up the pipeline, pricing, packages and processes so the function can scale.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Up to 5 years of relevant experience in solutions sales, partnerships, business development or account management, ideally selling to or working with MNCs.
Skill in uncovering client needs and turning them into a tailored offer, not just selling a fixed product.
Good understanding of the Singapore and Southeast Asia tech scene.
Clear writer and confident presenter; comfortable speaking with senior leaders.
Self-starter who is happy to build something new with a small team.
Nice to have: experience with sponsorships, events, industry associations, or government agencies (e.g. EDB, Enterprise Singapore, IMDA).

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

Full-time or fractional (e.g. 2–3 days a week). Both welcome.
Start date: November 2026.
Based in Singapore.

SGTech, celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2022, is the leading trade association for Singapore's tech industry. Representing over 1,000 member companies ranging from top multinational corporations, large local enterprises, vibrant small and medium-sized enterprises, and innovative startups, it is the largest community in Singapore where companies converge to advocate for change and drive what enables tech innovation and accelerates tech adoption to spur greater sustainability in the sector.

SGTech's mission is to catalyse a thriving ecosystem that powers Singapore as a global tech powerhouse.

SGTech's initiatives are guided by two strategic thrusts:
1. To position Singapore as a global node for digital and data, built on trust. Among other things, SGTech will:

champion the creation of a Digital Transformation Centre to help companies transform;

push for standards, policies and products to be developed for Digital Trust; and

ensure greater Cyber Security awareness and adoption.

2. The tech sector must take collective action and be part of the solution to Singapore and global Sustainability.

Underpinning these two pillars, and all our business activities, is Talent for Tech.
