Responsibilities

We are representing an industrial MNC to appoint a regional sustainability manager covering APAC region. The role will be the key focal point on sustainability agenda with ultimate goal of generating business value, competitive advantage and driving thought leadership among customers, end-users and other stakeholders in APAC region, in collaboration with the APAC sales & marketing teams and the Group functions


Main Tasks and Responsibilities:


· Contribute to and execute Region’s sustainability agenda priorities to generate business growth.


· Develop and align APAC’s plan for sustainability commercialization with relevant stakeholders, and with Regional and Global business strategy in mind.


· Lead Regional commercialization of sustainability, including spearhead products and services.


· Align with Global strategy and processes, with regional adaptations as needed.


· Develop and facilitate training for APAC Commercial Team & strategic customers as needed.


· Support with sustainability inquiries from customers and from key brands on relevant market dynamics, product features and services


· Proactively maintain knowledge of current market trends and legislature relevant to sustainable packaging in the region and maintain general understanding of global trends. Inform relevant internal stakeholders of key trends as needed.


· Act as a Subject Matter Expert on sustainable adhesive material solutions in various external and internal channels (i.e. marketing videos, seminars, conference panels, commercial meetings with customers, etc.)


· Contribute to the development and localizing of tools, resources, and trainings, to support our go- to-market approach and commercialization efforts. Train relevant internal stakeholders as needed.


Qualification:

  • Degree in sustainability or related discipline (e.g. environmental science/engineering, earth science)
  • Strong technical understanding about ESG’s ecosystem, trend and reporting standard are expected
  • Business fluency in both English and Mandarin
  • Strong business partnering experience with local counterparts in key markets like China and South East Asia
  • Track record in acting as the regional focal point to drive sustainability subject matters in a regional lean team structure
  • Experienced in stakeholder management and prioritizing ESG agenda
  • Solid knowledge in material ESG topics like sustainable packaging, circular economy, carbon credits
  • Expertise in sustainability commercialization and sustainable packaging regulations and legislations
  • Strong commercial acumen and client facing experience
