Ichor is expanding and looking for a hands-on Engineering Assistant to join our manufacturing team in Singapore, supporting the assembly and testing of precision equipment for the semiconductor industry. You will work with engineering drawings, build gas panels, and perform leak checks and functional testing in a cleanroom environment. This is a great opportunity to build your technical skills and gain valuable hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing. This role operates on a 12-hour rotating day/night shift and requires flexibility to support overtime and weekend work when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly builds and testing according to specifications, engineering drawing sand work instructions.
• Support gas panel building from initial pallet assembly and integration through leak checks and functional testing.
• Read and interpret schematic and mechanical drawings to carry out assembly work accurately.
• Work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment while maintaining good housekeeping and manufacturing discipline.
• Work closely with team members to achieve production, quality and delivery targets.
• Follow EH&S requirements and take personal responsibility for workplace safety.
• Conduct risk assessments for work activities and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce waste and errors while improving quality, cost and productivity.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 1years of manufacturing, production or operations experience.
• Candidates without prior work experience who have relevant engineering training, internship experience, or hands-on technical exposure are encouraged to apply.
• Able to read and understand schematic and mechanical drawings.
• Able to commit to a 12-hour day/night shift, including weekends, and support overtime when operationally required.
• Strong quality, safety and productivity mindset.
• Good team player with a hands-on approach to work.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in gas box or gas panel assembly within the semiconductor industry is preferred.
