Inter Island Group Hiring! Full Time QA Engineer - Electronic Manufacturing Company in Johor, Earn up to MYR 6,500 - Ricebowl

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures, test plans, and inspection standards for electronic products/components.
• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet specifications and quality requirements.
• Analyze non-conformances, defects, and customer complaints; lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
• Monitor production processes and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and R&D teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including SOPs, inspection reports, and quality records for audits.
• Support ISO 9001 (and other applicable standards, e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 14001) certification and compliance activities.
• Perform statistical process control (SPC) analysis and generate quality metrics/reports for management review.
• Coordinate with suppliers on quality issues and support supplier quality audits.
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) processes, ensuring quality requirements are integrated from the design stage.
• Train production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defect rates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a QA/QC role within an electronics or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant industry quality standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in using measuring/testing equipment (e.g., calipers, multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with QMS software is a plus.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
