Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Title:

Audit Associate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Integrity and Compliance Unit (KUIP) and Auditor (JA) in preparing the Annual Audit Plan.
  • Assist in conduct audit work based on established guidelines, procedures, and Audit Charter.
  • Collect data and update information on audit results.
  • Assist in preparing Audit Reports, feedback, and follow-up actions.
  • Prepare letters/documents for KUIP and JA requirements and manage correspondence related to Internal Audit work.
  • Responsible for managing records, documents, and Internal Audit file records.
  • Assist in managing Audit Committee (JKA) meetings and other meetings involving Internal Audit.
  • Plan and execute audits in accordance with established audit procedures and guidelines.
  • Manage audit teams to ensure timely completion of audit assignments.
  • Assess risks associated with audit engagements and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant auditing standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address audit-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay abreast of developments in auditing standards, regulations, and industry trends to enhance audit practices and methodologies.
  • Assist in prepare comprehensive audit reports documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

Qualification:

  • Minimum three (3) years of work experience in the relevant field.
  • Possess at least a diploma in accounting, business, finance, or economics from a local Polytechnic or Public University, or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Priority given to candidates who are members of a certified professional accounting body in Malaysia (MIA), have experience in auditing and finance, can manage tasks without supervision, are willing to perform tasks outside the office, and have computer skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, regulations and best practices.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in auditing processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing audit teams.
  • Experience in leading audit engagements is highly valued.
