Responsibilities
- Prepare work surfaces by cleaning, repairing cracks, levelling, and priming before plaster application.
- Mix and prepare plaster, mortar, cement, and related materials to the required consistency.
- Apply plaster, render, skimming coats, or decorative finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ensure smooth, even, and durable finishes that meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Repair, patch, or restore existing plasterwork where required.
- Be able to follow the drawing requirements and do the work.
- Select and use suitable materials, tools, and methods for each specific task.
- Protect surrounding areas and fixtures from plastering work to maintain site cleanliness.
- Maintain all tools, equipment, and work areas in good, safe condition.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, contractors, and team members to meet project timelines.
- Comply with building codes, material specifications, and workplace safety regulations.
- Identify and report any site or structural issues promptly to the relevant supervisor.
- Dispose of debris and waste materials in a safe and responsible manner.
