JustShip is a Singapore-based cross-border shipping company helping individuals and small businesses ship from Singapore to more than 200 countries.
We combine hands-on logistics, software and AI to make international shipping simpler — from booking and packing to customs, tracking and delivery issues.
We are looking for an early-career teammate who enjoys helping customers, solving practical problems and improving how things work.
This is not just a customer service role. You will work directly with customers and shipments, but you will also help us improve the systems behind the experience — including Gracie, our AI-assisted customer service system, our internal workflows, help content and parts of our website.
You do not need to know how to code or have previous AI experience. You will receive guidance from our CS-Ops Lead and learn our tools, shipping processes and AI-assisted workflows on the job.
What you will do:
Own customer and shipment issues
- Reply to customers through chat, WhatsApp and email with clear, thoughtful and empathetic updates.
- Investigate tracking, customs, collection, delivery, billing and claims-related questions using our internal tools.
- Coordinate with carriers and teammates, keep accurate notes and follow through until each case is resolved or handed over properly.
- Support day-to-day shipment processing when needed, including receiving, weighing, measuring, labelling and packing parcels. Heavier or awkward items are handled as a team.
- Notice recurring customer problems and identify where our communication, processes or systems could be better.
Improve our AI-assisted customer experience
AI already assists our team in answering customers. Part of your role is helping us make it better.
You will:
- Review selected AI-generated customer replies and identify mistakes, unclear answers or unusual cases.
- Flag situations where Gracie does not understand the customer correctly or does not have the information it needs.
- Turn recurring customer questions and failures into test cases, FAQ improvements and clearer internal playbooks.
- Test changes to AI-assisted workflows and check whether they work correctly in real customer situations.
- Help improve the information and processes that our AI systems rely on.
You will work closely with our CS-Ops Lead on this. No coding or prior AI experience is required. What matters more is that you are observant, curious and able to explain why something could be improved.
Help improve the wider customer experience
Because you will see customer problems firsthand, there will also be opportunities to contribute beyond day-to-day support.
Depending on your strengths and interests, this may include:
- Improving website copy or help content when customers find something confusing.
- Spotting friction in our booking or shipping experience and suggesting improvements.
- Helping test small website or workflow changes.
- Contributing customer insights to marketing, product and operations discussions.
- Taking ownership of small improvement projects as you become more experienced.
You may be a good fit if you
- Hold a Diploma or higher in any discipline.
- Have 0–2 years of working experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Write clear English and can adjust your tone when helping customers through chat and email.
- Are patient and service-oriented, including when a customer is worried or frustrated.
- Are naturally curious about why a problem keeps happening, not just how to solve it once.
- Notice small inconsistencies and can perform repeated checks without becoming careless.
- Follow through reliably, keep good records and flag mistakes early.
- Are comfortable learning new browser-based tools and practical AI systems.
- Take feedback well, ask questions when unsure and enjoy improving a process after learning how it works.
- Are interested in areas such as customer experience, operations, AI, UX, product or marketing — even if you have not worked in them before.
- Can work onsite at 18 Howard Road, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–6:30pm.
We care much more about your communication, judgement, reliability, curiosity and ability to learn than your field of study or prior experience.
What you will learn
- How cross-border shipping, customs and carrier issue resolution work in practice.
- How a company uses AI to assist real customer service operations.
- How to evaluate and improve an AI customer-service system using real operating data.
- How customer feedback can be turned into better workflows, documentation, website experiences and product improvements.
- How customer service, physical operations, software and AI fit together in an end-to-end logistics business.
- How to take increasing ownership of problems and improvement projects in a growing company.
