SW STRATEGIES - SOUTHEAST ASIA Hiring! Full Time Public Relations Consultant in Federal Territory - Ricebowl

To support all of our outreach for clients in Malaysia and be a part of our regional team.

You will be preferably based out of Kuala Lumpur/Petaling Jaya and have the necessary skills and connections with the media outlets for this remote role. You will also need to be able to create short form content for social media.

You will work with our team-mates who are currently based in Singapore, , Bangkok, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City and Manila.

Responsibilities:

• To be able to function independently, and support SW Strategies for all our PR needs for clients.

• To fit in this role, you will need to know how to pitch stories to print media and broadcast journalists in Kuala Lumpur and even support with writing op-eds and then ensure that are great enough to be published by media outlets. Knowledge of Malaysian media outlets are the newsrooms, with current connections to the mainstream media a must-have.

• We already work with clients in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and the team is predominantly well-versed with the media landscape in Southeast Asia.

• You will also need to support the team with content creation - examples of which can be found on our company Linkedin account.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in public relations and communications a requirement.
• Knowledge of Malaysian media and its workings will be critical for this role.
• Understanding of communications is vital and must be able to perform independently
