We are looking for a detailed-oriented and proactive Senior Finance Executive to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager to oversee daily financial operations, treasury management, cash flow monitoring, financial reporting, and group consolidation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with 3–5 years of experience looking to broaden their exposure to multi-entity management, group accounting, and continuous process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for assigned companies.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure all accounting records are accurate, complete, and comply with accounting standards.
- Maintain the General Ledger and perform account reconciliations.
- Prepare schedules for audit and management reporting.
2. Treasury & Cash Flow
- Monitor daily cash balances and bank transactions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow reports and forecasts.
- Process bank transfers, fund allocations, and treasury transactions.
- Reconcile bank accounts and monitor outstanding transactions.
- Assist in managing banking facilities, financing, and loan repayments.
3. Group Consolidation Support
- Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements for the Group.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions.
- Maintain subsidiary financial information for consolidation purposes.
- Ensure consistency in accounting treatments across subsidiaries.
4. Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget versus actual performance.
- Perform variance analysis and identify financial trends.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for management meetings
5. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare tax schedules and support corporate tax computations.
- Assist in SST, withholding tax, and statutory submissions.
- Liaise with tax agents and auditors during audits.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian financial regulations and statutory requirements.
6. Audit & Internal Control
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors.
- Ensure compliance with finance SOPs and internal control policies.
- Assist in implementing audit recommendations and process improvements.
7. Subsidiary Finance Coordination
- Support Finance Manager in reviewing subsidiary financial performance.
- Follow up with subsidiary finance personnel on reporting deadlines.
- Assist in resolving accounting and reconciliation issues.
- Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies across all entities.
8. Process Improvement & SOP Development
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and workflows.
- Assist in developing and updating finance SOPs.
- Participate in finance system implementation and enhancement projects.
- Recommend automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
9. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with internal departments on financial matters.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities.
- Provide financial information and analysis to support operational decisions.
- Support finance-related projects and cross-functional initiatives.
10. Other Responsibilities
- Support Finance Manager in special assignments and strategic projects.
- Assist during mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, and business expansion exercises.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
- Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Professional Qualification: Professional membership (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or MIA) is a strong advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting. Experience in group accounting, treasury, or multi-company environments is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, Malaysian corporate tax laws, and statutory compliance.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP/accounting software.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical mind, high attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
