Overview

We are seeking a School Bus Operations Coordinator to streamline and oversee daily student transportation logistics. This role is central to ensuring that students are safely and efficiently assigned to bus routes, while maintaining clear communication with parents, school staff, drivers, and attendants.

Key Responsibilities

• Enrollment & Routing: Manage student enrollment data, assign children to bus groups/routes, and adjust routes as needed.

• Driver & Attendant Coordination: Provide schedules, route changes, and student groupings to bus drivers and attendants.

• Parent Communication: Act as the primary contact for parents regarding bus schedules, delays, or student assignments.

• School Staff Liaison: Collaborate with teachers and administrators to align bus operations with school schedules.

• Problem-Solving: Respond quickly to last-minute changes such as absent drivers, route adjustments, or student emergencies.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.

• Excellent communication skills with parents, staff, and drivers.

• Familiarity with school enrollment systems or willingness to learn.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressure.

• Prior experience in school administration, logistics, or transportation coordination preferred.
