Basic Function:

• Handle full set of accounts - ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all day-to-day accounting transactions.
• Plan, study and collect data to establish the actual manufacturing cost incurred by incorporating the costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, labour, etc.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Handle full set of accounts.
• Check journal voucher for approval.
• Check payment voucher for all types of payments for signature.
• Review data keyed into accounting system by junior staff. e.g. supplier’s invoice, DN and CN.
• Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Balance Sheet schedule for review.
• Handle bank reconciliation.
• Monitor petty cash float.
• Maintain fixed assets register and carry out fixed assets audit.
• Assist to manage cash flow and payment.
• Assist in monthly, half yearly and annual stock take.
• Manage and prepare manufacturing cost accounting reports.
• Analyse actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs and provide explanation to the variance.
• Develop and maintain the product costing system of the company.
• Responsible for the recording and calculation of unit cost for products.
• Analyse changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods, to determine effects on cost.
• Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products.
• Make recommendation for product selling price and cost saving.
• Formulate SOP, policies and Cost Accounting System.
• Handle month end closing of the General Ledger.
• Assist superior on general accounting matters, as and when required.
• Perform ad-hoc or any other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualification:

• Degree in accountancy / Finance / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of Cost Accounting experience in manufacturing environment.
• Must have a strong cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
• Able to communicate effectively to all level of employees
• Sharp and alert and careful with accounting figures
• Able to use Microsoft Excel and Word
• Pleasant, approachable, integrity, fast learner and willing to learn
• Fit, healthy, acceptable level of mental alertness
• Fast adaptation to work related changes
• Multitasking (Can arrange/handle different's job scope in one time)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
