Sand & Sandals Desaru Beach Resort & Spa Hiring! Full Time Maintenance Manager in Johor - Ricebowl

Are you an experienced maintenance professional who can keep a resort running smoothly, safely and efficiently?

Sand & Sandals Desaru Beach Resort is looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead our engineering and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance of the resort’s M&E systems, facilities and equipment
• Lead and manage the maintenance/engineering team
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance
• Ensure all facilities, equipment and utilities operate safely and efficiently
• Manage contractors, suppliers and maintenance-related projects
• Monitor maintenance costs and control the department’s budget
• Ensure compliance with safety, statutory and regulatory requirements
• Respond effectively to breakdowns and urgent maintenance issues
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as Maintenance Manager in engineering/maintenance, preferably in a hotel or resort environment
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning and general building maintenance
• Good leadership, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Strong communication and team-management skills
• Willing to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies when required

Experience in the hospitality industry will be preferred.
