Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Manager, Quality & Risk Management to lead and coordinate hospital-wide quality, patient safety, accreditation, regulatory compliance and risk management initiatives.


This role will work closely with clinical and operational leaders to strengthen a culture of continuous improvement, support effective risk management, and drive initiatives that enhance patient safety, quality of care and organisational performance.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate hospital-wide quality, patient safety, risk management, accreditation and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Partner with departments and leadership to identify areas of vulnerability, assess risks and develop and monitor appropriate improvement and mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate and support JCI, MSQH, regulatory and internal audit activities, including audit planning, implementation and follow-up.
  • Monitor quality indicators, incidents and performance trends, and provide meaningful analysis and recommendations to leadership and relevant governance forums.
  • Facilitate Quality Improvement initiatives and provide technical support in the use of RCA, PDSA, 5S, FMEA and other quality improvement tools.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness programmes covering quality, patient safety, risk management, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Promote a proactive culture of quality, patient safety, risk awareness and continuous improvement across the hospital.
  • Coordinate benchmarking, best-practice sharing and quality improvement projects across the organisation.
  • Support hospital leadership in reviewing quality, safety and risk-related matters and driving effective follow-up actions.
  • Undertake other quality, risk and improvement projects as assigned by the Hospital CEO and Head, Medical Services.


Qualifications

  • Degree with at least 6 years of experience in Quality Management, including at least 2 years in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in healthcare quality management systems, accreditation and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of MSQH and JCI standards.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, PDSA, 5S, FMEA and 7QC Tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; experience with statistical analysis tools such as SPSS is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels and work collaboratively across clinical and operational teams.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, inquisitive and able to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
