Job Description:
Finance Operations
Manage and verify day to day financial transactions, including payments, receipts, journal entries and supporting documentation.
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash balances and financial records.
Monitor client billings and outstanding receivables, proactively following up to support timely collections.
Manage supplier invoices, accounts payable ageing and payment schedules to ensure timely settlement while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
Review and process petty cash and employee expense claims, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to junior finance team members on operational matters.
Financial Reporting & Month End Closing
Support the month end closing process, including preparation and review of accruals, provisions and account reconciliations.
Prepare and review key management reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
Ensure financial information is accurate, complete and delivered within reporting timelines.
Cash Flow & Treasury
Monitor daily and weekly cash positions and support short term cash flow planning.
Work closely with project teams to coordinate cash requirements, payment schedules and collection priorities.
Assist with banking matters, including bank facilities, guarantees, project-related accounts and required banking documentation.
Tax, Audit & Compliance
Prepare and coordinate timely tax filings, including corporate tax, SST, withholding tax and other applicable statutory requirements.
Liaise with tax agents and auditors, responding to queries, audits and assessments in a timely and professional manner.
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Ensure accounting activities and documentation comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Team Guidance & Stakeholder Management
Guide and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
Review junior team members’ work and provide practical coaching to improve accuracy, efficiency and compliance.
Partner with internal stakeholders across departments to resolve finance related matters and support smooth business operations.
Requirements:
Bachelor of accounting or any related field.
Experience in the construction or property industry is highly preferred. Alternatively, candidates from fast paced or large scale industries may be considered.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior finance role.
Familiarity with SAP will be great advantage.
Familiarity with SST, withholding tax, e-Invoicing, and other statutory requirements is an advantage.
Experience supervising junior staff members .
Able to work independently with minimal supervision, meet tight deadlines and thrive in fast paced environment.
Willing to travel for works.
