Responsibilities

• Assist in daily food preparation (mise en place) following VCR's recipes and standards
• Prepare ingredients for brunch dishes and bakery items under the guidance of senior chefs
• Support cooking, plating, and portioning during service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen station
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory rotation (FIFO)
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and kitchen equipment handling procedures
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team to keep service running smoothly

Requirements

• A strong interest in food and cooking, with willingness to learn — fresh school leavers welcome, no prior kitchen experience required
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene is a plus, but not required — we'll train you
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Available for shift work, including weekends
