Position Overview

The incumbent is responsible for integrating production planning and procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing output. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Marketing, and Logistics to balance supply and demand, optimize resources, and support organizational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on forecasts, orders, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate and monitor production activities to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Track production progress, identify bottlenecks, and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Adjust schedules proactively to manage machine downtime, material shortages, or urgent customer demands.
• Lead preparation and execution of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.
• Support long-term demand and capacity planning aligned with business goals.
• Manage procurement and sourcing activities to ensure material availability and cost targets.
• Monitor and maintain accurate Bill of Material (BOM) cost and lead-time data.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and quality requirements.
• Participate in global supply chain improvement projects, including ERP and planning tool implementations.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; advanced certification preferred.
• Minimum 8-12 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or procurement.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems, supply chain tools, and advanced Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with international exposure.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to rapid changes.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Penang, Malaysia
