We are hiring an experienced Safety Officer (WSHO) to oversee site safety, compliance, and environmental health for construction projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with WSH regulations, statutory requirements, and company safety policies
- Review and improve Safety Management Systems in line with local legislation
- Conduct safety training, toolbox meetings, and WSH committee meetings
- Perform site audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Enforce safety rules and take corrective actions for non-compliance
- Investigate incidents and implement preventive and corrective measures
- Liaise with authorities and stakeholders on safety matters
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and submission of safety records
- Work closely with project teams to identify and mitigate safety and environmental risks
Job Requirements
- Registered WSHO & ECO certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction projects
- Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Health, or related field
- Strong knowledge of local WSH regulations and compliance standards
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Working Hours
- 5.5-day work week
- Islandwide project sites
Salary
- Up to $6,000/month (depending on experience)
