Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end delivery of CLS projects, including scope definition, planning, execution, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Developing and Creating detailed project plans, schedules, and resource plans for site deployment and integrated to the Master project Schedule.

Oversee multiple concurrent CLS and client-driven projects in live data centre environments.

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and change controls

Monitoring project progress against planned performance and implementing corrective actions as needed and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

Work closely with Design and supply chain team to manage the procurement process for all necessary equipment and materials, coordinate deliveries to the site, and validate subcontractor claims and progress

Collaborating with engineering, regulatory, and legal teams to ensure site designs meet technical, regulatory, and operational requirements, including obtaining necessary permits and licenses

Provide technical guidance, review design submissions and engineering drawings, and ensure the installation of substation electrical equipment meets quality and performance standards.

Working with vendors, contractors, and external service providers, which involves evaluating proposals, managing contracts, tracking performance, and ensuring products/services meet project requirements

Identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with the project, developing contingency plans to minimize impacts, and resolving issues related to scope, budget, and resources.

Champion a culture of safety excellence, enforcing strict health and safety guidelines and ensuring all high-voltage (HV) works comply with relevant national/international codes, standards (e.g., NESC, ANSI, IEEE, RUS, OSHA), and client specifications.

Oversee the testing, inspection, and final commissioning of all substation equipment and control systems, ensuring readiness for commercial use and handover

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Professional Electrical Engineer (Ir) in High Voltage system in Malaysia

Minimum 5–8 years of project management experience in High Voltage Consumer Landing Station (CLS) (132KV, 275KV, 500KV) supporting data centres, mission-critical facilities, or regulated environments.

Proven experience managing High Voltage Substation works, MV/LV electrical System, HVAC, Fire projection and Gas suppression system interface, Power transformer installation and testing, control, protection and SCADA integration for new construction projects.

Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure and critical environments

• Knowledge of local TNB requirements, fire codes, authority requirements, and compliance processes
• Familiarity with change management in uptime-critical environments
