Resident Desktop Engineer

Location: Bayan Lepas Industrial Area, Penang Island
Employment Type: Contract (3 months, non-renewable)
Contract Duration: 1 October 2026 – 31 December 2026
Salary: Up to RM2,500 per month
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description

We are looking for a Resident Desktop Engineer to provide on-site IT support at our customer's office in Bayan Lepas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for basic desktop support, system installation, data backup and restoration, and assisting users with IT-related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure operating systems on desktops and laptops.
• Install and configure required applications and software.
• Perform user data backup and restoration.
• Assist with basic desktop and IT-related troubleshooting.
• Handover configured devices and systems to end users.
• Provide on-site technical support to users as required.
• Follow the customer's IT procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; training and guidance will be provided.
• Candidates with at least 1 year of relevant IT/Desktop Support experience are preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, software installation and desktop troubleshooting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently at the customer's office.
• Willing to work on-site in Bayan Lepas Industrial Area, Penang Island.
• Available to start from 1 October 2026.

Important Information

• 3-month contract only
• Contract is non-renewable
• Working hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
• No overtime
• Salary up to RM2,500/month

Pay: Up to RM2,500.00 per month
