Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares authentic North or South Indian dishes, manages the kitchen station, and ensures high standards of food hygiene and quality
• Oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and adherence to recipes.
• Cook traditional Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, and breads, following authentic recipes.
• Oversee daily mise-en-place (ingredient preparation), manage cooking equipment like tandoors or griddles, and keep the work area clean.
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Contribute creative ideas to develop and refine the café's menu offerings.
• Uphold a commitment to excellence in all culinary preparations, reflecting the café's dedication to quality.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of professional cooking experience specializing in Indian cuisine.
• Previous experience as an Indian Chef or similar role in a culinary environment.
• Culinary diploma or relevant certification from a culinary school is preferred.
• Knowledge of café-style cuisine and an understanding of seasonal ingredients.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• A passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen and communicate effectively with team members.
