Grey Tree Hiring! Full Time Operations Executive in - Ricebowl

We are partnering with a leading global commodities trading house to hire an Operations Executive based in Singapore.

You will manage the end-to-end operational execution of zinc and copper trades— from contract booking through to demurrage settlement — working closely with traders, chartering, and finance to ensure clean, timely, and accurate trade flow.

About the Role

• Coordinate end-to-end containerised and bulk shipments of metals and chemicals, including related warehousing activities.
• Manage product and information flow between customers, head office, and regional field offices.
• Negotiate Letters of Credit and prepare invoices and standard trade documentation.
• Monitor client risk exposures and pricing for hedging purposes.
• Follow up with customers on payment and shipment-related matters.
• Prior experience handling zinc and/or copper is an advantage.
• Other ad-hoc tasks on operations for the business.

Ideal Candidate

• 1–3 years of experience in import/export, international shipping, or bulk/chemical tanker operations.
• Knowledgeable in Letters of Credit, shipping documentation, commodity inspection, and insurance.
• Exposure to metals, chemicals, or commodity markets is an advantage.
• Proficiency in spoken Vietnamese is preferred due to regular liaison with Vietnamese counterparties.
• Willing to travel within Southeast Asia from time to time.
• Degree holder or equivalent.
