Role Description The Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Shah Alam. This role involves performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on turbines or related mechanical and industrial equipment, following established procedures and safety standards. The Technician will assist in troubleshooting equipment issues, documenting findings, and supporting senior technical staff during complex maintenance and overhaul activities. Daily tasks include using appropriate tools and instruments, keeping accurate service records, and ensuring work areas and equipment are maintained in clean, safe operating condition. The Technician will collaborate closely with colleagues, communicate clearly with supervisors, and adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform hands-on mechanical work, including basic assembly, disassembly, maintenance, and repair of industrial or turbine-related equipment.
• Competence in using standard workshop tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment safely and accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions, service manuals, and standard operating procedures.
• Good problem-solving skills to identify equipment issues and assist in troubleshooting under guidance from senior technicians or engineers.
• Solid understanding of workplace safety practices and willingness to comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team-based environment.
• Minimum of a technical certificate or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• Prior experience in industrial maintenance, turbine services, or similar technical field is an advantage but not strictly required for motivated entry-level candidates.
• Willingness to work on-site in Shah Alam and adapt to changing operational needs, including occasional overtime or shift work as required.
