The team focuses on creating engaging experiences through visual storytelling, live activations, and digital content. Joyspace collaborates closely with clients to understand their brand, audience, and objectives, delivering tailored event concepts and media assets. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Videographer & Editor (Mandarin Speaker) role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The role involves planning and capturing video content for events, promotional campaigns, behind-the-scenes coverage, and social media assets. Day-to-day tasks include filming on location, setting up cameras, lighting, and audio equipment, and working closely with event and creative teams to interpret project briefs. The Videographer & Editor will edit footage into compelling videos, add graphics and basic motion elements, sync sound, and perform color correction to align with brand guidelines. The role also includes organizing and managing media files, preparing deliverables in required formats, and supporting live event video needs where required.

Qualifications

  • Strong videography skills, including camera operation, composition, lighting, and audio recording for events and promotional content.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent), with experience in basic motion graphics, sound design, and color correction.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) to collaborate with Mandarin-speaking clients, talent, and team members and to handle Mandarin-language content.
  • Experience producing content for social media and digital platforms, with an understanding of aspect ratios, formats, and best practices for short-form and long-form video.
  • Ability to work on-site at events, manage time under tight deadlines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, strong visual storytelling skills, and the ability to translate event concepts into engaging video narratives.
  • Prior experience in event production, media, or creative agencies is an advantage; a relevant diploma or degree in film, media, or related fields is beneficial.
