Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of school buildings and facilities to identify repair and maintenance requirements.
• Establish and prioritise repair and maintenance projects based on operational needs.
• Plan, assign, inspect, and assist with maintenance work carried out by the maintenance team.
• Consult with the Supervisor on the implementation of preventive maintenance programmes.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair works using appropriate hand and power tools.
• Guide and supervise general workers on the proper use, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Assess repair requirements and determine whether work can be completed internally by electricians, custodians, or general workers, or if external contractors are required, and make recommendations to the Supervisor accordingly.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring of VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) air-conditioning systems, and coordinate servicing or repairs when required.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of school facilities, including classrooms, offices, laboratories, sports facilities, common areas, and other campus infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and operational procedures.
• Provide assistance to school officials, staff, visitors, and other employees whenever required.
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor or Director.

Education & Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance, or a related technical field is an added advantage.
• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair works.
• Knowledge and experience in handling or maintaining VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) air-conditioning systems is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with the maintenance and operation of school facilities and campus environments is preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual maintenance work.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willing to work on Saturdays and attend to urgent maintenance issues when required.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8.00 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.
• Saturday: 8.00 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
