Job Description

Responsibilities

Execute procurement, planning, purchasing order management, and supplier management. Plan material requirement and release purchase orders to support production needs and new product launches or transfer across plant or network.

Expected deliverables and key responsibilities during the rotation

  • Support SG2 Planning, Procurement & Logistics (PPL) setup by coordinating procurement readiness and supplier onboarding activities.
  • Drive onboarding readiness for equipment, direct materials, and indirect material suppliers, ensuring timely qualification and operational readiness.
  • Engage suppliers on quotations, commitments, timelines, and deliverables to support project milestones.
  • Define and document procurement processes, standard work, and governance frameworks.
  • Validate procurement master data and planning parameters within JDE to enable system and operational readiness.
  • Support adoption of digital tools that enhance material visibility, PO tracking, supplier collaboration, and supply risk monitoring.
  • Provide structured visibility of onboarding progress, key risks, mitigation plans, and next steps to stakeholders.

Expected learnings, skills, and experiences to be gained from the role/rotation

  • Exposure to greenfield supply chain setup activities supporting SG2 PPL operational readiness.
  • End-to-end procurement execution, supplier onboarding, and supplier relationship management.
  • Practical application of material planning principles, including MRP, Supplier Pull, VMI, and ROP methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (JDE), master data governance, and planning parameter management.
  • Development of project management and cross-functional stakeholder engagement skills across Procurement, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Exposure to digital procurement transformation initiatives and supply chain visibility solutions.
  • Understanding of supply chain risk management, process standardization, and operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.
