Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Welder Fitter to fabricate and assemble special vehicle bodywork and components. The role involves reading technical drawings, measuring and preparing materials, cutting, fitting, MIG/TIG welding, and finishing fabricated parts to the required specifications.

Our Special Vehicle Bodyworks production includes fire trucks, police vehicles, military vehicles, trailers, and ambulances. The ideal candidate should have good fabrication and welding skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and workmanshi

Main Responsibilities

• Read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Measure, mark, cut, bend, and prepare metal materials.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding.
• Fit, align, clamp, and tack-weld components before final welding.
• Grind, sand, and polish welded areas for proper finishing.
• Check dimensions and weld quality using measuring tools.
• Maintain welding machines, cutting tools, and workshop equipment.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all safety procedures and use the required PPE.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in metal fabrication or welding.
• Good knowledge of MIG/TIG welding.
• Able to operate cutting, bending, and fabrication equipment.
• Able to read basic engineering/fabrication drawings.
• High school or vocational/technical qualification preferred.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
