About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Account Executive to join our team in Kota Bharu, Kelantan on a full-time basis. This is a key position within our bookkeeping and small practice accounting division, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality financial services to our diverse client portfolio. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring accurate record-keeping and providing valuable support to both our clients and senior accounting professionals. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills in a collaborative and professional environment.
What you'll be doing
- Maintaining accurate and organised financial records for assigned clients using accounting software and manual bookkeeping methods
- Processing invoices, receipts and financial transactions with precision and attention to detail
- Preparing trial balances, bank reconciliations and monthly financial statements
- Liaising with clients to collect financial documentation, clarify account information and resolve discrepancies
- Entering and updating client data in accounting systems whilst ensuring compliance with data protection standards
- Assisting with tax preparation and compliance documentation for small business clients
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports and schedules for client review and submission
- Identifying and flagging potential accounting issues or unusual transactions to senior team members
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information
- Responding to client enquiries in a timely and professional manner
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 1–3 years' experience in bookkeeping, accounting or a similar financial administrative role
- Strong proficiency with accounting software packages (such as QuickBooks, Xero or similar platforms) and Microsoft Excel
- Sound understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger management
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to clients
- Reliability, integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications such as AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians), LCCI or equivalent accounting certifications are highly desirable
- Willingness to develop professional skills and pursue further accounting qualifications

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
