Role Description We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team, accelerate business growth, and strengthen our market presence. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, expanding key customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and achieving ambitious sales targets.

This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with proven sales management experience, strong commercial acumen, and a passion for developing high-performing teams while building long-term partnerships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, customer insights, and competitor activities.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate a team of Territory Sales Executives to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop new sales representatives by providing product knowledge, sales training, and ongoing coaching.
  • Establish clear sales KPIs, monitor performance, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Conduct sales pipeline and business review meetings to evaluate opportunities, address challenges, and improve sales conversion.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key customers, distributors, and business partners.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues promptly while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market intelligence for management.
  • Oversee purchasing activities to ensure inventory availability aligns with sales forecasts and customer demand.
  • Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies that support market competitiveness while maximizing profitability.
  • Collaborate closely with the logistics, supply chain, technical support, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment.
  • Work with the Marketing team to execute promotional campaigns, product launches, exhibitions, roadshows, and trade events.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
  • Identify and develop new market segments, strategic partnerships, and growth opportunities to expand the company's market share.

Requirements

  • Minimum SPM qualification. A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in the automotive aftermarket, automotive parts distribution, or related industry.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, customer-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Possess a valid driving license, own transportation, and be willing to travel extensively.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin is preferred as the role requires interaction with Mandarin-speaking customers. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken, is also required.
