Student Development Officers (SDOs) (MOE Schools)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive administrative support for student development activities (including CCAs, enrichment programmes, camps, overseas trips), such as documentation, attendance tracking, budget management, procurement processes, engagement of instructors, risk management, inventory management, logistical coordination, and parent communication.

• Ensure adherence to the school’s standard operating procedures and safety regulations and assist in reviewing procedures where needed.

• Contribute to student development outcomes during CCAs . Responsibilities include monitoring students’ learning and welfare, facilitating student reflections, and collaborating with partners to enhance authentic learning.

Requirements:

• Possess at least a Diploma qualification. However, suitable candidates with GCE ‘A’ Level qualification could be surfaced to the Authority for consideration;
• Preferably with relevant work experience in administration, logistics, event or project management;
• Preferably with some experience working with youths;
• Strong organization and project management skills;
• Ability to multi-task and work well with students, parents and other stakeholders of the schools;

Training Requirements for SDOs:

SDOs will be given appropriate training by the Authority to perform their roles after they have been appointed. This could include structured training or on-the-job training.
