Full-Time Teacher
Primary or Secondary | English / Mathematics / Science

Location: Jurong West, Singapore
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $3,750 to $4,200 per month

First Konnection is supporting an established enrichment centre in Jurong West in its search for a Full-Time Teacher.

The successful candidate may specialise in either Primary or Secondary level. You do not need to teach both levels.

You must, however, be confident teaching at least 2 of the following subjects at your chosen level:

• English
• Mathematics
• Science

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Primary or Secondary students in at least 2 of the following subjects: English, Mathematics and Science
• Deliver structured, engaging and effective lessons
• Prepare, develop and improve lesson materials and assessments
• Contribute to curriculum development and improvement
• Monitor students’ academic progress and provide meaningful feedback
• Mentor students and help build their confidence towards learning
• Work closely with the teaching team to continually improve lesson delivery, teaching materials and curriculum

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Able to confidently teach at least 2 of the following subjects: English, Mathematics and Science
• Candidates may specialise in either Primary or Secondary level
• Strong command of spoken and written English for classroom instruction, student communication and preparation of teaching materials
• Confident and engaging in the classroom
• Passionate about teaching and mentoring students
• Comfortable contributing ideas towards curriculum and teaching materials
• Able to commit to the required weekday and weekend working arrangement on a permanent basis

Teaching experience in a tuition centre, enrichment centre, school or similar education environment would be an advantage.

Applicants with strong subject knowledge and suitable teaching aptitude may also be considered.

Working Schedule

5-day work week:

• 4 weekdays
• 1 weekend day

Weekday working hours:
12.00pm to 9.30pm

Weekend working hours:
8.00am to 5.30pm

The weekend working day may be either Saturday or Sunday depending on the centre’s academic schedule and operational requirements.

Applicants must be genuinely comfortable working either Saturday or Sunday when scheduled.

Salary

During probation and training:
$3,750 per month

The probation and training period may be up to 6 months.

Upon successful completion of probation and training:
$4,200 per month
