Responsibilities

About the role

Develop embedded firmware, test software, and evaluation platforms for sensor and optoelectronic products, including ELSFP modules. Support product development, characterization, validation, and customer demonstrations through reliable firmware, test, and automation solutions.


Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for sensor, optical-module, and evaluation platforms.
  • Develop data acquisition and control functions using communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and MIPI. Implement CMIS-based monitoring, configuration, and control for optical modules where applicable.
  • Support integration between firmware, hardware, sensors, optical modules, and software applications.
  • Develop test and characterization software/firmware for engineering evaluation and product validation.
  • Develop basic GUI and automation tools for firmware testing, data acquisition, characterization, and engineering analysis.
  • Debug system issues and perform root cause analysis during development and qualification phases.
  • Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and user guides.
  • Collaborate with hardware, validation, and application engineers to support new product development.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of embedded firmware development experience.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++.
  • Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, CAN, Ethernet, or MIPI.
  • Familiarity with hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Python or C# development experience, including basic GUI or engineering tool development (preferred).
  • STM32, ARM Cortex-M, or similar MCU platforms (preferred).
  • Sensor product experience such as ALS, proximity, color, spectral, ToF, or optical modules (preferred).
