The Person We're Looking For

We are looking for an engineer who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting and problem-solving at site.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of assigned project, working independently when required, and collaborating closely with the wider engineering team to resolve technical challenges.

This role is particularly suitable for someone who enjoys practical engineering, working with real systems and equipment, and seeing a project through to successful commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Perform Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) which includes installation, testing & commissioning activities for substation SCADA systems with customers, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Carry out signal verification, point-to-point testing, communication testing and system integration testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA, communication, configuration and system integration issues encountered during commissioning.
• Configure and parameterize SCADA components such as Bay Control Units (BCU), Remote Terminal Units (RTU), Protocol Gateways and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) when required.
• Conduct product and system training for customers.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with the Design, Production and Configuration & Testing teams to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Ensure site activities are completed according to project requirements, approved drawings, safety requirements and agreed schedules.
• Provide clear progress updates and escalate technical or project issues when necessary.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or relevant working experience.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
• Willing to perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting and commissioning work.
• Able to work independently and responsibly at customer/project sites.
• Must possess own transport (car)
• Willing to travel for outstation assignments, primarily within Peninsular Malaysia, with occasional assignments in Sabah and Sarawak.
• Willing to work outside normal office hours when required for commissioning or project activities.
