Role Description The Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Simpang Ampat, responsible for overseeing post-delivery support and maintenance of automation systems for customers. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating service schedules, managing service teams, and ensuring timely resolution of technical issues at customer sites. The role involves monitoring system performance, identifying recurring problems, and recommending improvements or upgrades to enhance reliability and productivity. The Service Manager will maintain strong customer relationships, prepare service reports, manage spare parts and tools, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This position also collaborates with engineering and project teams to support system commissioning, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge in automation systems, mechanical or electrical engineering, and industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Experience in service management, customer support, and coordination of on-site service activities.
  • Skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis for complex automation systems.
  • Competence in planning, scheduling, and prioritizing tasks to manage multiple service projects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and mentor service technicians, foster teamwork, and maintain high service standards.
  • Proficiency in using service documentation tools, reporting systems, and basic office software.
  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field; relevant technical certifications are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in industrial automation, manufacturing, or related sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Willingness to work on-site, travel to customer facilities when required, and adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements.
