We are Hiring: Pre-Sales Engineer (Industrial Energy Efficiency & Smart Control) — Penang / KL, Malaysia

Are you a technical mastermind who bridges the gap between industrial HVAC/FMCS/BMS systems, AI-driven energy efficiency, and business growth? We are expanding our team in Malaysia and looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer to drive complex B2B solutions across APAC and beyond.

Location & Working Mode

• Base: Penang, Malaysia (Flexible to relocate or transition to Kuala Lumpur based on candidate capability)
• Target Nationality: Citizen (Must be fluent in Mandarin & English)
• Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
• Team Setup: Joining an established local team alongside our Regional Country Representative and Regional Pre-Sales Lead.

Core Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Technical Solutions & Bidding

• Lead pre-sales technical workflows: On-site survey → Needs discovery → Load/Energy consumption analysis → Energy efficiency diagnostics → Solution design → Cost estimation & BoQ quote.
• Lead technical tendering processes, compliance matrices, parameter回填, and technical clarification meetings.

1. Client Engagement & Deal Closing

• Partner with sales leads to conduct solution demos, POCs, and technical presentations on AI-based energy management, FMCS/EMS, and power/chilling/storage systems.
• Participate in commercial & technical contract negotiations to finalize technical specs.

1. Channel & Partner Enablement

• Empower overseas distributors and System Integrators (SIs) to independently pitch and demo our intelligent control solutions.
• Deliver technical trainings, produce whitepapers, and represent the brand at regional industry exhibitions/forums.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with delivery teams and HQ R&D to ensure solution feasibility and feed market/competitor insights back into product iterations.

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering (Building Services, HVAC, Electrical Automation, Thermal Energy, Power Engineering, etc.).
• Experience:
• 5+ years of relevant experience in pre-sales / solution engineering within industrial energy saving, HVAC/FMCS, building automation (BA/BMS), or industrial control. (Master’s degree holders: 3+ years).
• Proven track record in industrial factory projects (HVAC / FMCS).
• Technical Skills:
• Solid understanding of FMCS, EMS, and BMS architecture & integration logic.
• Familiar with industrial protocols: Modbus, BACnet, OPC-UA, etc.
• Hands-on experience with AI energy algorithms, digital twins, or smart O&M is a huge plus.
• Language & Soft Skills:
• Mandarin: Professional working proficiency (Fluent speaking is required).
• English: Business fluent (oral & written); capable of independently hosting technical meetings and writing proposal docs.
• Proactive problem-solver with strong presentation skills and adaptability to short-term business travel.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Energy Storage Systems (ESS) & joint bidding with ESS OEMs.
• Hands-on experience or partnerships with brands like Sungrow, Huawei, Jinko, Siemens, Schneider, etc.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD / Revit / SolidWorks.
• Professional certifications: PMP or registered Engineer qualifications.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: Up to MYR 20,000 / month (Negotiable/Open based on experience) + Performance Bonus.
