Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations and ensure finance functions are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage and review full sets of accounts, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, reconciliations and taxation matters.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, management accounts and financial analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and financial projections.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and relevant financial regulations.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, Company Secretary and other external parties on audit, tax, statutory and regulatory matters.
  • Review and strengthen internal controls, accounting processes and finance procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for finance process improvement and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and support to the finance team, including supervising, mentoring and developing team members.
  • Work closely with management and other departments on financial matters, business planning and ad-hoc projects.
  • Support other finance-related projects and assignments as required.


Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in finance or accounting, with experience in a professional services environment being an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and taxation.
  • Experience managing or reviewing full sets of accounts.
  • Experience working with ERP/financial systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and provide meaningful business insights.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with management and stakeholders.
  • Proven team leadership and people management experience.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
