Position: Structural Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Working Hours: Mon – Fri 9am-6pm, Sat 9am-1pm
Salary Range: Basic RM5,000~RM9,000

A critical role in verifying the mechanical, structural, and civil integrity of modular systems. Headquartered primarily out of its advanced manufacturing and data center module hubs.

The role bridges structural engineering precision with systematic quality control, ensuring that all fabrications match rigorous international building and material standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Testing Management
Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs): Formulate, review, and implement detailed ITPs for steel structural frames, skid-mounted enclosures, and modular assemblies.

Structural Inspections: Conduct rigorous dimensional checks, welding quality visual checks, and structural alignment verification against technical design drawings.

Concrete & Foundation QA: Oversee critical foundation stages (for modular bases), checking reinforcement, clear cover, and witnessing concrete compressive strength tests.

Material & Supplier Verification
Incoming Material Review (MAR): Verify raw steel, fasteners, welding consumables, and structural components against Purchase Orders, approved submittals, and material mill certificates.

Traceability Controls: Enforce heat number and batch number traceability across all structural fabrications.

Audits, NCRs, and Root Cause Analysis
Non-Conformance Reports (NCR): Identify, issue, and track NCRs when structural or dimensional deviations from standards occur.

Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead RCA procedures with production teams to eliminate structural manufacturing errors and prevent repeating defects.

Calibration Audits: Ensure all measurement, testing, and structural alignment instruments are strictly calibrated and documented.

Documentation & Handover DossierQuality Dossier Compilation: Gather, track, and maintain the final quality dossier—including material test reports, as-built drawings, signed-off checklists, and RFI records—for client handover.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Experience: Generally requires 2 to 5+ years of QA/QC experience in structural steel fabrication, industrial modular construction, or the data center infrastructure sector.
Technical Proficiencies:Solid understanding of structural design codes and welding standards (e.g., AWS, BS EN, Eurocodes).
Familiarity with technical drawing software and structural verification methodologies.
Competence using precision measurement tools and supervising Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
