About the Role

We are seeking a highly detailed and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join us. With a minimum of 5 years in the field, you will take ownership of the electromechanical design, layout, and manufacturing transition of highly complex semiconductor capital equipment. Your designs will directly enable the next generation of microchip manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • NPI Execution: Drive the transition of complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment from R&D into high-volume manufacturing, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.

  • Electromechanical Layout: Lead the physical arrangement, packaging, and routing of mechanical structures, robotics, and electrical control panels within the machinery.

  • Precision Engineering: Apply an expert understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to all manufacturing prints

  • Process Control: Strictly adhere to the "Copy Exactly" methodology, ensuring that validated designs are duplicated perfectly in production without unauthorized variations.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all mechanical and electromechanical designs comply with industry safety regulations, electrical enclosures, and cleanroom protocols.

Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience specifically focused on Semiconductor Capital Equipment NPI projects.

  • Strong background in complex electromechanical layout and systems integration.

  • Thorough and practical understanding of GD&T.

  • Deep knowledge of SEMI standards and the Copy Exactly manufacturing philosophy.

  • Familiarity with industrial control panel safety standards (UL 508A or IEC 61439).

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)
  • Direct experience designing ultra-clean wafer or reticle handling systems.

  • Hands-on experience with the electromechanical layout of SCARA robotics, 6-axis robotics, end effectors, and/or high-precision linear stages.

  • Proficiency in running FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to simulate stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics.

  • Knowledge of NFPA 79 (Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery).
