About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Operations, Sea Freight Import professional to join our client's growing operations team in Shah Alam.

This role will focus on managing end-to-end sea freight import operations, including shipment coordination, documentation, vessel monitoring, cargo release, billing and communication with customers, carriers, hauliers and overseas offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Sea Freight Import Operations and register shipment information accurately in CargoWise (CW1).
• Monitor vessel arrivals, shipment status and ETA through CargoWise, carrier websites and PortNet.
• Prepare import documentation including Arrival Notice, Delivery Order (DO), CFS and Cartage Advice.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, hauliers, customers, overseas offices and permit declaration vendors.
• Verify the completeness and accuracy of forwarding and shipping documents.
• Handle Dangerous Goods (DG) documentation and ensure relevant procedures and approvals are fulfilled.
• Coordinate shipment release and delivery arrangements and follow up on operational irregularities.
• Handle cargo-related incidents including short shipments, damaged cargo, misrouted cargo and missed vessels.
• Follow up on cargo and insurance claims where required.
• Manage shipment costing, invoicing, vendor/intercompany invoices and billing disputes.
• Ensure timely invoicing and accurate shipment cost updates in CargoWise.
• Sort and upload shipment documents into eDoc within the required timeline.
• Maintain accurate customer reports and ensure all deadlines and SOP requirements are met.
• Work closely with internal teams, customers and overseas offices to resolve shipment and billing matters.
• Support team members and participate in company projects or initiatives when required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Sea Freight Import, Freight Forwarding or Logistics Operations.
• Good understanding of sea freight import processes and documentation.
• Experience with CargoWise (CW1) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with PortNet, shipping lines, hauliers and permit declaration processes will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of DO release, Arrival Notice, CFS, Cartage Advice and import procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Email.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
