Role Description This is a full-time, on-site UAS Engineer role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. The UAS Engineer will be involved in the integration, and test the unmanned aerial systems and subsystems for aerial surveillance activities. The role involves preparing technical documentation, test plans, and reports, as well as supporting field trials, flight tests, and system demonstrations. The UAS Engineer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including software, hardware, and operations personnel, to ensure systems are safe, reliable, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering, with experience in UAS or related systems.
• Hands-on skills in system integration, hardware troubleshooting, and testing of sensors, communication modules, and flight control units.
• Knowledge of control systems, navigation, and avionics concepts, including autopilot configuration and flight dynamics.
• Familiarity with various payload, tools for different deliverables and data analysis will be an added advantage.
• Ability to prepare clear technical documentation, test procedures, and reports, and to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders from various countries.
• Experience with field operations, flight testing, or mission planning for unmanned systems is an advantage.
• Understanding of safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements in defense, heavy industrial and aviation environments is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; relevant industry certifications or UAS training are a plus.
