Job Description

  • Responsible for performing component-level troubleshooting, root-cause failure analysis, and high-precision soldering repairs on defective PCBAs.
  • Collaborates closely with engineering and quality teams to log failure data, address production fallout, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing yield.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform component-level troubleshooting on defective PCBAs and functional test failures generated from the production floor.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, layout files, and engineering documents to isolate root causes of circuit abnormalities or component failures.
  • Utilize diagnostic instruments such as digital oscilloscopes, multimeters, DC power supplies, logic analyzers, and specialized test software to trace signals and verify board behavior.
  • Perform high-precision manual soldering, desoldering, and component replacement (including SMT parts, IC chips, passives, and connectors) in compliance with IPC standards.
  • Maintain and update the production line failure logging system; systematically record defect codes, failed components, root causes, and repair actions taken.
  • Collaborate closely with Test Engineers and Quality Engineers to provide real-time feedback on recurring defects, component issues, or design anomalies to drive continuous yield improvement.
  • Partner with the Test Technician to use verified reference units ("Golden Boards") to isolate whether a failure stems from the product itself or an anomaly in the testing fixture.
  • Provide active technical assistance to line operators and testing teams to address sudden spikes in product fallout or test sequence failures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe ESD-safe environment at the debugging workstation; strictly adhere to company environmental and safety guidelines.
