Position: Linux Engineer

• Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
• Contract: 1-Year Renewable Contract
• Salary: Up to RM 10,000 – RM 12,000 per month
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Eligibility: Open to Malaysian candidates and expatriates currently residing in Malaysia

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, implement and maintain Linux-based infrastructure in enterprise environments.
• Handle Routing & Switching (L2) deployment, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Implement and manage enterprise firewall solutions, including Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point and Palo Alto.
• Administer and support Linux operating systems, including RHEL, NixOS, GUIX and immutable OS environments.
• Configure and manage nftables and stateful firewall policies.
• Implement network security zoning, segmentation and access-control mechanisms.
• Support secure infrastructure deployment and ensure compliance with security requirements.
• Troubleshoot Linux, networking, firewall and security-related issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on deployment and implementation activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on Linux / Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Linux OS administration and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with RHEL / NixOS / GUIX / Immutable OS environments.
• Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching (L2).
• Experience with one or more enterprise firewall platforms:
• Cisco
• Fortinet
• Check Point
• Palo Alto
• Strong understanding of nftables, stateful firewalls, security zoning and network segmentation.
• Good understanding of infrastructure and network-security concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
