As Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining specific tools on a media manufacturing production line. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and collaborate effectively; they will demonstrate a willingness to learn, flexibility, creative problem solving, exemplary communication skills and an ability to think on their feet. Candidates must be flexible to work a 12 hour AWS Shift and overtime, as required by the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on sputter equipment according to maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and control system failures.
  • Perform equipment inspections and ensure machines operate within specified performance conditions.
  • Document maintenance activities, equipment failures, and corrective actions in maintenance databases.
  • Provide technical support to junior technicians during troubleshooting and equipment recovery.
  • Support engineers in equipment improvement projects, machine upgrades, and system modifications.
  • Analyze recurring equipment problems and provide improvement suggestions to engineers.
  • Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and measurement instruments for troubleshooting.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and cleanroom standards.
  • Support production during equipment recovery to minimize downtime.

REQUIRED:

  • Diploma or Advanced/Higher Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3–6 years of experience in equipment maintenance in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with vacuum systems or sputtering equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and system diagrams.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to work in 12-hour AWS shift environment.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience in a sputter media or semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of high-vacuum technology, plasma processes, or thin-film deposition systems.

SKILLS:

  • Strong troubleshooting capability in mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Good understanding of vacuum systems and sputter equipment operation.
  • Ability to guide junior technicians during maintenance activities.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong teamwork and communication with engineers and cross-functional teams.
