The Manager of Process and Quality Management is responsible for overseeing the optimization of production processes and ensuring the highest standards of product quality. This role focuses on driving operational efficiency, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and fostering continuous improvement to align with the company’s strategic objectives within the manufacturing sector.

Job Description

• Process Enhancement and Optimization
• Assess current production workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Develop and implement standardized operational procedures to enhance productivity.
• Utilize methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
• Quality Management Systems
• Establish and manage quality management systems to ensure consistent product quality.
• Define quality metrics and track performance against established standards.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives, including internal audits, inspections, and certifications.
• Monitoring Production Performance
• Set and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency, quality, and overall performance.
• Analyse production data to identify trends and areas requiring corrective actions.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports with actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Team Leadership and Development
• Manage and mentor the process and quality management team to achieve high performance.
• Facilitate employee training on quality standards, compliance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Promote collaboration across departments to achieve organizational goals.
• Regulatory and Compliance Management
• Ensure all production activities comply with Malaysian regulations and industry standards.
• Identify potential risks in processes or quality management and implement mitigation plans.
• Keep abreast of regulatory updates and incorporate them into operational practices.
• Customer Satisfaction and Focus
• Work closely with customers to understand their quality requirements and expectations.
• Address customer concerns by implementing corrective and preventive actions promptly.
• Drive a customer-centric approach in manufacturing processes and product delivery.
• Technology and Innovation
• Identify opportunities to integrate advanced technologies to improve efficiency and quality assurance.
• Oversee the implementation of automation tools, data analytics, and quality monitoring systems.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or Total Quality Management (TQM) are strongly preferred.

Experience Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in process and quality management, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 2-3 years of manager experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and implement quality control measures effectively.

Technical Expertise

• Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows, quality management systems, and relevant standards.
• Expertise in process improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with implementing quality management systems.

Interpersonal Skills

• Strong leadership and people management abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with various teams and stakeholders.
