Grand Venture Technology Hiring! Full Time Supplier Quality Engineer in Pulau Pinang - Ricebowl

Job Description:

• Evaluate and approve new suppliers and materials based on quality standards.
• Perform supplier audits to assess capabilities, processes, and compliance with quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality products and materials.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance through regular quality reviews, ensuring that corrective actions are taken for any non-conformances.
• Analyze quality data and reports to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
• Work with internal teams (Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing) to address and resolve any quality issues related to suppliers.
• Develop and implement quality control plans, quality standards, and procedures for supplier activities.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience with supplier audits, quality inspections, and process evaluations.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar.
• Proficient in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, APQP, and control plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with suppliers.
• Good written and spoken English. Mandarin is an added advantage.
