Role Description This is a full-time Quantity Surveyor role based in Singapore with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost plans, and tender documents for retail design and fit-out projects. Responsibilities include monitoring project budgets, implementing cost control measures, and providing regular cost reporting to project managers and stakeholders. The role involves evaluating quotations, negotiating with suppliers and contractors, and assessing variation orders and progress claims. The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered within budget while meeting quality and timeline requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong cost management capabilities, including Cost Management and Cost Planning skills, to develop and maintain accurate project budgets.
- Proficiency in Cost Control and Cost Reporting to monitor expenditures and prepare clear, timely financial updates for stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with BOQ preparation and measurement, ensuring precise quantity take-offs and documentation for tender and construction phases.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience in interior fit-out, retail, or commercial projects in Singapore, with knowledge of local building regulations and market rates.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Proficient in MS Excel and quantity surveying or cost estimation software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and adapt to a hybrid work environment.
