Purpose of the position
The purpose of this position is to plan, manage and conduct engineering projects of a complex nature to meet client requirements.
Accountabilities
- Applies a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical, economical and innovative solutions to problems
- Produces designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity
- Prepares client reports, presentations and updates
- Contributes to the overall management and profitability of projects
- Manages compliance to scope and identifies fee variations
- Manages engineers and drafters to enable preparation of documentation including allocation of resources and checking o fwork
- Develops and maintain relationships with clients and identifies opportunities for new or additional work
- Confidently interprets and communicates information of a more complex nature to different stakeholders
- Assumes responsibility for the management of small, medium and some large-scale projects including duties such as pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets
- Ensures compliance with applicable Codes, local authorities requirements and policies including WHS practices and Quality Assurance
- Coordinates with clients and other consultants on design, construction, and submission aspects of projects
- Attends technical / site meetings to resolve design issues and constructability problems
