The Robotics Autonomy Lab, Within DSO's Robotics Division, Develops Robotics Autonomy Technologies For Ground, Maritime And Aerial Robots. We Are Looking For Robotics Autonomy Research Engineers To Conduct Research And Develop Technologies In One Or More Of The Following Areas
- Localisation & Calibration: Sensor-based odometry, SLAM, map-based localisation, decentralised collaborative SLAM, multi-sensor calibration
- Perception: Environment mapping, moving object tracking and trajectory prediction, semantic mapping, scene graphs
- Motion Planning & Controls: Trajectory planning and tracking, reinforcement learning for planning and controls
- Mission Autonomy: Learning of behaviours for a single robot or a multi-robot team/swarm to achieve a given task, decentralized task allocation, planning and scheduling.
Robotics Autonomy Research Engineer
In This Role, You Will
- Design, develop and deploy algorithms for ground, maritime and aerial robots
- Conduct research into state-of-the-art techniques in one or more robotics autonomy areas
- Collaborate with software engineers on software integration and testing
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate, verify and validate developed algorithms in simulation and field trials
Job Requirements
- PhD, Master's or Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of robotics and machine learning, with experience applying relevant technique to robotics problems
- Proficiency in C,C++ and/or Python
- Hands-on experience developing or implementing robotics projects
